1. Minimalism Makes Life Easier
Minimalism makes life easier because it clears all clutter from your life.
It simplifies everything from your closet, to your house, to your mind. Minimalism can improve your physical health, mental health, and whole life experience.
2. Minimalism Makes Mornings a Breeze
Minimalism makes your morning run a lot smoother because it makes it a lot easier to find all the things you need to start your day.
You will only have the products you need to get ready.
Less Time Spent Picking Clothes In The Morning
Having a smaller wardrobe will help you cut down on time getting ready in the morning!
Your wardrobe will be clothes you actually like and will be interchangeable so you won’t have to spend an hour going through your whole closet to pick out an outfit.
This will save you time in the morning and the stress of cleaning the rejected clothes off the floor later in the day.
Rarely Misplace Items You Need
There’s one thing that can really throw off your whole morning; not being able to find the things you need to leave for the day! Things such as:
- Wallet
- Keys
- Lunch
- Items you need for work
There’s nothing worse than going to leave for work and realizing your keys and wallet are missing or that you don’t know what you want to take for lunch.
Minimalism ensures that your keys and wallet can be easily found for work and all your meals will be prepped and ready to go.
No more getting up early and still running late for work! This will ensure that everything is right where you need it to be.
3. Minimalism Gives You More Free Time
Living a less is more lifestyle will greatly cut down on time wasted in all aspects of your life. There will be less clutter that you have to deal with in your day-to-day.
When you are only focusing on the things you need and cutting down on the waste in your life there is way less to be stressed about!
Everything will be clean and tidy and exactly where you need it when you need it.
Arguably the best part of embracing this lifestyle is that you will spend less time cleaning!
No one wants to spend a day of their weekend cleaning their entire house. Having only what you need cuts down on the mess you create and eventually clean up.
Things like a capsule wardrobe will make getting ready easier and keep your closet clean. You won’t need to reorganize all the products you don’t even use and you can cut down on your mess in the kitchen with meal prepping.
Overall minimalism is an excellent key to doing fewer chores.
4. Minimalism And Simple Living Makes You Feel Better
Minimalism simplifies every aspect of your life. People who practice some variation of this lifestyle worry less, stress less, and overall deal with less chaos.
Minimalism has been linked to better mental health. The less clutter you have in your life the less clutter in your mind. If your life is tidy and organized then your thoughts can be too.
You will have less stress about the things that don’t matter and you will focus on the things that do matter. You won’t have to worry about cleaning, cooking, shopping, or spending money. Everything can be more worry-free.
Satisfied With What You “Need”
Do you ever feel like you’re constantly missing something to complete your life or your day-to-day?
Switching up your lifestyle can get rid of that feeling. Getting rid of things you don’t need and shopping with intention between every purchase can make sure you will have things you like and use and everything you need.
You won’t feel like you constantly have to go shopping looking for the thing that’s missing.
I know I’ve had those moments where I feel like something is still missing but now that I’ve started shopping with purpose, that feeling comes less and less.
5. Simplicity Brings More Peace Into Your Life

Living a simple life can lead us to find peace.
When you have only what you need you will start to feel like you have enough. You won’t have to keep looking for what can fulfill you because you’ll already have it.
Clutter and junk do way more than just create a mess in your safe space, they also make a home in your mind.
When you go to work and your closet is in disarray or your living room is cluttered that is what you think about all day.
Who wants to come home from working all day to immediately clean? Not me, that’s for sure! When you have fewer things you have less clutter which will clean out your mind all day as well.
6. Minimalism Can Increase Your Productivity
A minimalistic lifestyle will give you more time to do the things you need to do and want to do. You will spend less time
In my experience, having a cluttered area around you makes it extremely hard to concentrate on what you’re doing.
How can you focus on your to-do list when all you can think about is the mess right in front of you? A clean space helps improve concentration and makes completing that task at hand a lot easier.
Spending less time cleaning or thinking of all the things you have to do can limit distractions during your day-to-day. A simple lifestyle gives you more time to yourself and to your mind. This will ensure that you get to focus on the things you really want or need to do.
7. Minimalism Can Save You Money
Simplifying your life will help you feel like you have enough, and cut down on the money you spend on compulsive shopping sprees.
There have been many times when I’ve felt like I don’t have enough options in my closet or that my living room is one piece of decor away from being complete.
These thoughts had me running to the store to buy things I thought I needed to feel complete.
This is not the case.
I just had too many things that were not used or didn’t serve a purpose. Once I got rid of the waste and only purchased things that would surely be used, I stopped needlessly spending money.
Invest in Experiences Not Needless Possesions
Things come and go but memories last forever. Instead of spending your money on things that you will use for maybe a few years and then get rid of, spend your money on trips and experiences:
- Save money for vacation
- Retirement
- Fun events with friends, family, and loved ones
Memories and photos last a lifetime and can be way more fulfilling than things used to clutter your house. You can also go on these experiences with people in your life that will make the trip that much more special.
It is also never too late to start saving for your future. Putting money into savings or retirement accounts can get you set to keep making memories in the long run.
8. A Minimalist Lifestyle Makes Meal Planning Easy
Minimalism can positively affect even your meals!
If you shop modestly then you will only have the food you need to prepare each meal. This will cut down on the fuss of trying to decide what you want to cook for dinner each night.
9. Minimalism And Simplicity Can Help You Find Your Purpose
All of the time and stress saved living this lifestyle can also bring you closer to yourself.
You will have fewer distractions, less mind clutter, and more time. You are almost forced to look inside and find what really drives you.
It may sound a little scary to have so much time to yourself and your thoughts but it will get you to find your passion and then you can really start living your life. Once you find your purpose you can mold your life towards that.
Final Thoughts On Why Minimalism And Simplicity Are Great
Minimalism is a great way to reflect on your life and what you value. This lifestyle doesn’t need to be adopted and implemented overnight.
It’s a process!
Just remember on your road to minimalism, to go at your own pace and you’ll reach your desired level of simplicity.

Wonderful blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I'm hoping to start my own blog soon but I'm a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I'm completely confused .. Any recommendations? Appreciate it!

Hello,
Thank you for your kind words!
Absolutely, first I would say for blogging you don't need to be an expert writer, you just need to get 'started'. This means don't wait until the right time, just brainstorm different topics you enjoy talking about or have experience with and start the blog. I advise you take a look at my recommendations page for what I used to get started. But to answer your questions, I would 100% start with a paid option because you need full control over your website when you monetize and start a business. Avoid Wordpress.com but use "Wordpress.org", there's a difference. You'll want to get website hosting to do this and the best for beginners are Bluehost and Siteground. I personally use Siteground but choose whichever you'd like. Once you have your webhosting and download wordpress.org, next you need to pick a theme. A theme is just the design of your website. So again if you want something presentable, go with the paid version. The upfront investments will be worth it if you want to make a nice blog that can maybe generate some income in the future. If you just want a hobby, then I would say maybe stick with free platforms, but even then its better to use paid platforms because if your blog does well you'll want the control to monetize it down the road.
Hope that helps! But to recap, if ya want a business and enjoy writing go for paid version. if you enjoy writing and just want a hobby, go for paid version as well. I really don't recommend free because when time comes for you to make income from your hard work and helpful posts, you won't be able to have control over the site because you won't own the site.
